Payment Methods and Security

Hardware Elf accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and PayPal via a secure transaction gateway provided by PayPal®. PayPal® is secured by Verisign Inc® and meets the standards set forth in the Better Business Bureau's® BBBOnline® privacy program. To review PayPal's® security measures click here. Privacy Policy

Hardware Elf takes your privacy seriously. And as such we make every effort we can to protect the information that we collect. All information collected by Hardware Elf is for the purpose of fulfilling your order. We only collect your basic shipping and contact information as passed on to us from PayPal®.

Credit card information is not collected by Hardware Elf, nor do we even have access to it. This information is subject to the policies and procedures of PayPal®.

Under no circumstances will any information that Hardware Elf has collected be sold to a marketing or data collection type company. It is possible that Hardware Elf may use the contact information for its own marketing purposes. If so, you will be given the opportunity to opt-out of any such program.

Hardware Elf will comply with any legitimate court order regarding this information. However in doing so we will take every safeguard possible to protect this valuable information.

Shipping

Hardware Elf will ship your order at our discretion either using UPS or USPS from our workshop in Ohio. I can usually get your order shipped within 1 business day. You will be notified via e-mail if we can not ship to your location.

Your order will be shipped to the address provided to us by PayPal®. If you do not have a PayPal® account you will be given the opportunity to enter your address. If you do have a PayPal® account, please verify that your shipping address is correct. We can not be responsible if a packaged is shipped to an incorrect address given to us from PayPal®.

General Policies

My fellow elves and I work hard to make sure we make the items that you need. However occasionally we will run out of an item you order. I will do my best to note out-of-stock items on the site, and disable the "add to cart" button for them. However, a few orders for out-of-stock items will almost certainly get through. Hardware Elf does not process partial-order backorders. I will contact you via email with an out-of-stock alert, estimated in-stock date, and the following options:
•  cancel entire order
•  ship in-stock items and cancel backorder

Ohio residents will have state sales tax of 8.0% added to your order. Because Ohio sales tax now varies by county of destination, the amount charged may be reduced when the sale is finalized. Your order will never be more then what is originally authorized, however it could be less.

Returns

All elves make mistakes once in a while. If I made one when I made your items or when I shipped your order, I will fix it to the best of my ability. Any other returns will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. All refunds will be made to the credit card or paypal account used when you made the purchase. Sorry, shipping is not refundable.

All refunds regardless of reason must have an RA number. To get an RA number please contact me and be sure to tell me why you need to return the item.

Product Liability

Sorry but hardware-elf.com can not determine the suitability of our products for a customers application. That is up to you, the customer. There are no expressed or implied warranties of any kind, including the merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
